The Mutua Madrid Open officially kicked off on Monday with the qualifying rounds getting underway. As has become tradition in recent years, tournament director Feliciano L\u00f3pez was waiting for the first fan to enter the Caja Magica to give them a prize.<\/p>\n

At a few minutes past 9:30 on Monday morning a fan passed through the turnstiles and found himself standing next to Feliciano L\u00f3pez, who had with him a folder containing two tickets for the men\u2019s final on 4 May.<\/p>\n
