Tickets now on sale for the 2017 Mutua Madrid Open

After the success of the Mutua Madrid Open’s fifteenth anniversary, the tournament has decided to put tickets for 2017 on early sale, freezing its pricing policy with tickets starting at 7 euros. The huge influx of spectators who packed out the Caja Mágica last May meant that 244,360 fans were able to enjoy the world’s best players in the Caja Mágica. The tournament’s dates are set and preparations are being made for the sixteenth staging of the competition from 5 to 14 May 2017.

It is the third consecutive year that the tournament has put its tickets on sale this far in advance in order to make sure that nobody goes without. Gerard Tsobanian, the President and CEO of the tournament spoke about the reasons behind the decision: “Although the prize money received by the players will be going up by 14% for the third year, we don’t want that to affect the fans’ wallets and so we have decided to freeze our pricing policy, meaning that 7 euro tickets will be available from the opening days”.

For his part, Mutua Madrid Open Director Manolo Santana had a message for all the fans: “Tennis is in the midst of a fabulous era and we have to make the most of it. That’s why, once more, our goal for 2017 is to bring this international event to all the citizens so that the greatest number of spectators possible can come to see the stars in the Caja Mágica”.

Anyone who does not want to miss out on centre-court tickets for the 2017 Mutua Madrid Open can purchase theirs online (www.madrid-open.com) or by telephone at 902 18 36 47. The lines are open from Monday to Thursday from 9:00 14:00 and 15:00 to 18:00 and Friday from 10:00 to 14:00.
