On Tuesday, José Luis Martínez-Almeida, the Mayor of Madrid, Sports Councillor Sofía Miranda, and Feliciano López, director of the Mutua Madrid Open, visited the court built by the tournament on Plaza de Colón to see the result for themselves.
The tennis player then took a clinic that included a lesson with the young students of IES Beatriz Galindo (a comprehensive school in the District of Salamanca).
Built to International Tennis Federation (ITF) standards, the court is available from 11 April to 5 May from 10:00 to 20:00.
One-hour reservations can be made on Playtomic (http://bit.ly/PlaytomicMutuaOpen) at the price of one euro, opening the door to anyone who would like to enjoy it. Despite high demand, it is still possible to book (currently 10 days in advance) and every day there are new sessions available.
The Mutua Madrid Open’s Colón court forms part of the promotional campaign for its 2023 tournament, which will take place in the Caja Mágica from 24 April to 7 May.
