The 2023 edition of the Mutua Madrid Open will be unlike any other before it. As the WTA 1000 event did two years ago, this year the ATP Masters 1000 will become a two-week competition. It is an ambitious move and one that consolidates the spirit of growth that has defined the event since its 2002 arrival in Madrid. Sharing the same values of continuous improvement, as a sponsor of the Mutua Madrid Open since 2016, Grupo Cosentino, a global leader in the production and distribution of sustainable surfaces for architecture and design, is once again one of the tournament’s main sponsors.
As part of this collaboration, last Friday Feliciano López visited the company’s offices in Madrid. Accompanied by Eduardo Cosentino, the Group’s Global VP of Sales and CEO of Cosentino North America, the Director of the Mutua Madrid Open got a close up look at the company’s facilities in Madrid, and led an interesting “Lunch&Talk” with various members of staff. During the conversation, Feliciano discussed organising a tournament whose magnitude is now similar to that of a Grand Slam, his own experience as Director of the event, and Cosentino’s involvement as a sponsor.
The 2023 Mutua Madrid Open will once again be exhibiting the versatility, the inimitable qualities, and the design features of the Cosentino’s Silestone® and Dekton® surfaces, which will be in use in some of the Caja Mágica’s iconic spaces during the tournament, such as the Sky Lounges, the Welcome Desk, and the VIP Restaurant Zone.
“As one of the longest-standing main sponsors, we’re very happy to have witnessed the growth of the tournament, which this year will be practically a two-week format as we see in Indian Wells and Miami. We’re delighted to continue our ties with one of the biggest sporting and social events in Spain, and thanks to its international renown and following, it has helped project Cosentino’s image and our brands”, said Eduardo Cosentino.
“We’re delighted with the renewal of Cosentino as a sponsor. It’s a company that has been with us for many years now and, like the rest of the sponsors and the support of the city, they have helped the tournament grow. The growth and the success of the Mutua Madrid Open also has an impact on these collaborators because of the visibility enjoyed by the event and the experience it generates”, explained Feliciano López.
