The 2026 Mutua Madrid Open served up some interesting statistics, with a host of players hitting new milestones, setting records, and etching their names in the history books.

Here’s a look at some of those standout facts and figures from the fortnight gone by at the Caja Magica.

1 – Jannik Sinner is the first man to capture five Masters 1000 trophies in a row, dating back to the Paris Masters last year

1 – Marta Kostyuk dropped just one set en route to the Madrid title, in the semis to Anastasia Potapova

1 – Mirra Andreeva is the first teenager to reach three WTA 1000 finals since the format’s introduction in 2009, and the youngest to make three Tier I/WTA 1000 finals since Maria Sharapova (Zurich 2004, Tokyo and Miami 2005)

2 – Two female coaches squared off in the women’s final, Sandra Zaniewska in Kostyuk’s corner and Conchita Martinez in Andreeva’s corner

2 – Sinner was broken just twice throughout the entire fortnight in Madrid, saving seven of the nine break points he faced, and holding serve in 59/61 service games
