The Mutua Madrid Open introduces Premium Seats on the Manolo Santana Centre Court

Following the completion of the tournament’s fifteenth anniversary, the Mutua Madrid Open has set itself the ambitious goal of surpassing the 2016 turnout, when 244,660 spectators made the trip to the Caja Mágica. The decision has led to part of the Manolo Santana Centre Court being reshuffled to allow for a new type of ticket.

The Premium Seats were conceived to satisfy the needs of the most demanding fans and therefore the Mutua Madrid Open has created a new exclusive space, which will combine leisure, sport and networking. The news means that more than 380 visitors a day will be able to enjoy this new space throughout the 16 sessions into which the 10 days of competition are divided.

The seats for enjoying the best tennis players in the world will be located in the lateral box area in the Manolo Santana Centre Court, replacing some of the locations that were previously boxes. In addition, the owners of the Premium Seat tickets will have access to an exclusive catering service in a space larger than 230 m2 at the top of the Caja Mágica with views of Centre Court.

For the President and CEO of the Mutua Madrid Open, Gerard Tsobanian, the innovation will be a huge improvement for the 2017 Mutua Madrid Open: “We try to improve every year and to look for solutions to meet the needs and demands of our spectators, who are the most important people. We have been keeping our affordable-pricing policy, with tickets starting at 7 euros, because we want the tournament to be open to everyone. But it is true that there is another kind of spectator whose desires we must also satisfy. That is why, in face of the increasing demand for this kind of ticket that we have seen in recent years, this year we have decided to reconfigure the seating in the Centre Court and create new spaces in order to meet these needs. I believe the Premium Seats will be a success”.

The Premium Seats, which will allow fans to enjoy Nadal, Djokovic, Serena, Muguruza and Murray, among others, from a prime location, are already available at www.madrid-open.com and http://www.entradas.com/.
