Madrid company Cabify has announced its position as an official partner of the Mutua Madrid Open, one of Madrid’s biggest sporting and social events, which takes place from 20 April to 3 May. With this long-term strategic agreement, Cabify strengthens its position as a leading player in the leisure and cultural sector, following recent partnerships with various football clubs and venues such as the Movistar Arena. At the same time, Cabify has assumed a key role in enhancing the mobility experience associated with the event, integrating itself into the event and gaining prominent brand presence throughout. The Mutua Madrid Open attracts more than 350,000 spectators every year over two weeks, making it one of the key dates in the international calendar and an unmissable social event for both locals and visitors.
As well as being a traditional partnership, this alliance brings together one of the city’s most important events and a local company to integrate its technological solutions to the benefit of the mobility of Madrid. With this collaboration, Cabify continues to consolidate its status as a leading partner in major city events, reinforcing its presence in areas such as culture, sport, and leisure.
“Being present at the Mutua Madrid Open is an opportunity to accompany thousands of people during one of the city’s most special moments. We aim to go beyond mere partnership and become a pivotal facilitator of the event experience, making travel around Madrid easier, more efficient, and more environmentally friendly,” says Alberto González, Cabify’s Managing Director.
Made in Madrid: local pride and commitment to sport
As a company founded in Madrid 15 years ago, this agreement strengthens the platform’s connection to its roots and the city’s cultural identity. The partnership with the Mutua Madrid Open not only cements Cabify’s presence at the most prominent events in the local calendar, it also strengthens its ties with the city; by offering integrated mobility experiences at this sporting event, the company shows that leisure, technology, and innovation can originate in the capital, reach the world, and have a global impact.
The Mutua Madrid Open has thus joined the network of local and strategic partnerships that the brand is building around Madrid’s leisure scene, which already includes agreements with top-tier clubs such as Atlético de Madrid and venues like the Movistar Arena.
Cabify launches “Cabify Electric”, its new 100% electric category
The Spanish mobility company has launched “Cabify Electric”, a new category offering both individual and corporate users a fleet composed exclusively of 100% electric vehicles. This service is already available in Alicante, Bilbao, La Coruña, Madrid, and Valencia. In just the past three years, thanks to the electric vehicles in Cabify’s fleet, 4,138 tonnes of CO2 have been reduced.
With this initiative, Cabify has reinforced its commitment to sustainability and moved forward in its goal of making cities more habitable, leading the way in the decarbonisation of the mobility sector.
Coinciding with the Mutua Madrid Open and in line with its commitment to more sustainable mobility, the category will be available in Madrid from this week until the end of the tournament under the name “Electric Mutua Open”. During this period, all users who use this category will be entered into a draw for pairs of tickets to the tournament. From 3 May, once the event has concluded, the category will be renamed “Cabify Electric”.
